On a lighter note!

Most of you know I do Weight Watchers with my mom. I am most pleased to announce I am down 2.6 pounds this week! That puts me down 17.6 in 2 months time and about 15 pounds below my pre-pregnany weight! I'm also down a dress size and my meeting leader gave me a miniature clothes hanger made out of a bright pink pipe cleaner. She told me when you get smaller clothes, you got to have smaller hangers! I live for the kindergarten stuff. I also earned another 5 pound star today. If I lose another 2.4 this week, I get to color in another Succesful sticker to put on the 10 pound board and another sticker for my bookmark! How pathetically happy sounding is that?!?

I also took a Weight Watchers recipe and did what I do best...more meat, more cheese, bigger serving, fewer points. Marybeth says I can bring in the recipe next week as long as I run it through the programs recipe builder to confirm the points. It's my version of Enchiladas Verdes and it's only 3 points for 2 enchiladas! I wonder if I should start posting my made-up recipes here? The ladies on my weight watchers mesage board really dont seem to care about it. But then again, they've been with it long enough to be jaded and bitter, and I am still optimistic. :o)

Lovin' me some softball!

So my friend Debbie invited me to go to the batting cages with her. I used to looove softball when I was a little Mindy, but I havent been to the cages in over 12 years! So I was really excited but I was choking down the oh-god-i'm-gonna-suck vibe.

We get there and I plunk down my two bucks for my two tokens cause I don't know if I can handle more than 40 pitches after all this time. That first pitch came in and I was so scared I was gonna miss it but I kept my eye on it and WHAM! I actually hit it! In fact, I only missed 2 of my first 20 pitches! I was so excited I called my mom! We kept going back for more tokens and we each hit 6 tokens a piece by the time we were done. I am going to be sooo sore tomorrow.

So now Im planning regular excursions to head out there. I found out they are open from 9am -8 pm, so in theory, I could go in the morning before Seth gets up and be back before he has to go to work. This is like fake exercise. Im lovin it.

Wild Baby Hair

This is for my good friend Julie who feels my pain. My mom, my grandma, my friends are all tryng to cut his hair. So he looks like Yahoo Serious. Leave him alone! He's too damn young to have to worry which side to part his hair on! Look at that hairy monkey arm holding him. That's his daddy! Genetically, the odds are stacked against hm being anything but a furry little scudder. As long as he is slightly less bushy that Robin Williams in a tank top, I'm satisfied!

Finally started!

So I've got the dang thing working. I still don't know how to use this thing, so I welcome your sage advice. Now if I could only get the camera and the camcorder working, we'd be in business!

...

Don't hold your breath!
